Cowane's Hospital in Stirling, a jewel of Scottish heritage, bathes in the soft glow of the rising sun. Built in 1637, this historical almshouse was a generous gift from John Cowane, a wealthy local merchant, and it has since served various community purposes throughout the centuries. It offers a glimpse into the philanthropy of the 17th century, with its carefully preserved architecture providing a stark contrast to the modern world that exists just beyond its grounds. This tranquil morning scene captures the essence of a building that has stood the test of time
